'Project for Expansion of the Terminal Building at Kamuzu International Airport', a grant aid project in Malawi, is introduced as the leading example of Japan's high-quality infrastructure assistance in the 2017 White Paper on Development Cooperation (on page 25). Furthermore, it describes the project as 'highly effective combining financial assistance and technical assistance', in appreciation of the synergistic effect with 'The Capacity Development Project for Radar Air Navigation Services at Kamuzu International Airport', a technical assistance implemented in parallel with the project.
